Mobility scooter rental questions.
How far in advance should I book a mobility scooter rental?
We recommend booking at least one week ahead to guarantee availability and arrange delivery, especially in peak tourist season and around major events. We accept requests from 3 working days before the date you need it, subject to availability at your destination.
How far can I ride on a full charge?
Far enough for a full day of sightseeing or an event. The exact range depends on terrain, rider weight and how you ride, and we charge the scooter fully before every delivery.
Do I need a driver's licence to rent a mobility scooter?
Rules vary by country. In most places no licence is needed to ride a mobility scooter, but riders should be at least 16 or accompanied by a responsible adult. Every rental starts with safety instructions and a short demonstration.
Can I take the mobility scooter on public transport?
It depends on the city and the operator. Many transport systems accept mobility scooters, but size and weight limits may apply. We give you guidance for your destination when you book.
What happens if the scooter breaks down during my rental?
Contact our support team straight away. We help you remotely or arrange local assistance, and if needed we replace the scooter.
Is insurance included in the rental price?
Basic cover depends on the location. We offer an optional damage waiver that covers accidental damage to the scooter during your rental. See what the cover includes.
Can I rent a mobility scooter for someone else?
Yes, you can book for a family member, a friend or a visitor. The person who will ride it should ideally be there for the delivery and safety briefing, but we can arrange something else when needed.
Which mobility scooter will I get?
The eTricycle 2, our folding electric mobility tricycle. Tell us about the rider and the trip when you book, and we will check it suits you.
How do I charge the mobility scooter?
Every rental comes with a charger for the local sockets and charging instructions. Plug it into a normal outlet overnight: a full charge takes about 6 to 8 hours and lasts a full day.
Can I extend my rental?
Yes, if the scooter is free. Contact us as early as you can and we adjust your rental agreement and price.
Do you deliver to cruise ports and airports?
Yes. We can deliver to and collect from cruise ports, airports and other transport hubs in many locations. Send us your arrival details and we time it so the scooter is ready when you arrive.
What if I'm travelling to several destinations?
For trips across several cities or countries we can arrange pickup in one place and drop-off in another, subject to availability and extra fees. Send us your itinerary and we will put a plan together.
